Team Requiem won the iGames "Counter-Strike Source" regional event Saturday in San Diego County, taking the double-elimination tournament with an undefeated record.
Requiem defeated Team AMD, 13-10 in the championship, held at Howie's Game Shack in Mission Viejo.

With the win, Requiem will compete against other regional winners Sunday afternoon in a double elimination tournament. While Saturday's competition was held at seven different LAN centers throughout the nation, Sunday's finals will be an online event.
The 10 rounds in the finals was the most Requiem gave up in the tournament. Requiem had wins of 13-5, 13-2 and 13-5 to reach the championship match.
AMD lost their first match, 13-6 to FedEx, but then went 3-0 in the losers bracket. They got their revenge on FedEx, 13-8 in the losers bracket finals.
Seven teams competed at Howie's Game Shack, the second-most for one location. CyGamz, a LAN center in Ypsilanti, Mich., had eight participants. That regional winner was Eximus Sports, 13-4 winners over Mythlog.
Eximius Sports, a familiar group to the CEVO series, went 4-0. One of their wins was a 13-0 shutout against Empirac.
